On Saturday May 24th, 2025, I had a night market at a bar in Houma, La!
Anime Night was hosted by a local nerd/fan group called Gamer’s Collecting Club! They host a lot of really fun events though out the year, and some really great people! For those that saw my YouTube video of the Collector Con I went to July last year (here is the link if you haven’t seen it: https://youtu.be/xAi4bsQzCuM?si=MMTgKuLPmdutAEoS ) they are the same group that hosted that and will be hosting it again this year.
Every few months or so they host a Anime Night at the Intercoastal bar. I hadn’t had an opportunity up until this point to give it a shot since Houma is about an hour and 45 minute drive from my house, and the event is from 8pm to 1am, but I figured I would go ahead and give it a shot!
It, of course, was a load of fun!!!!
I tried something a bit new with my layout that I really like, and will continue to work upon. I have been having problems trying to decide which prints to display, and which ones not to. I want to show off as many as I can, but have been running out of room, since I have gotten quite the collection of keychains going. However, At my time at WasabiCon NOLA, I saw how a few people had their portfolios displayed at an angle, and it gave me the idea to try that with my display, and honestly, I love how it came out! I will, for sure, be doing this from now on! Even though I don’t sell as many prints anymore, they are still my favorite things to work on, and display.
But, it was a very fun night, and there were plenty of preferences, by local singers, and the finale by the Meadow Maids, a local maid group!
If you ever get the chance, highly recommend going!
